Article about Ailesbury Clinic from Social and Personal Magazine

The recently opened Ailesbury Clinic in Merrion Court Ballsbridge is making big headlines as it the only Irish owned clinic totally dedicated to Cosmetic Dermatology in Ireland. Despite being open only two years, it is already attracting many patients from overseas because of some of the revolutionary techniques that are currently being practiced there.

The clinic is under the medical directorship of Dr. Patrick J. Treacy who has worked in this field in Australia and has also worked in the United States and London. Dr. Treacy has already pioneered the introduction of Isologen (grow your own facelift) treatment to Ireland for the first time and recently appeared on TV3's Ireland AM to demonstrate the new Aurora laser optical and radiofrequency device, which can apparently remove blonde and grey hair in a painless fashion.

Dr. Treacy is also an expert in Radiosurgery and has been invited to speak at the next WONCA conference in Orlando, Florida. He also brought the world leading Agera skin range to Ireland and is famed to be among the first doctors worldwide to use Neurotoxin Injection Treatment for the control of facial blushing.

Dr. Treacy is also Medical Director of Linraith Holdings, a medical aesthetic company that manages both the Therapie and Body Clinics in Ireland and the UK. He also provides clinics for Dermalser Ireland. The Ailesbury Clinic has recently introduced the use of more permanent BioAlcamid facial endoprosthesis to Ireland for facial reconstruction after severe weight loss or cancer.

Dr. Treacy is an active member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors, is on the Specialist Register of General Practice in Ireland. He holds a Higher Diploma in Dermatology and a BTEC in Laser technology and skin. He recently won the 2003 Ireland Professional Medical Journalist of the year and has been a previous winner of the British and Irish Young Scientist of the year. He currently writes the 'Cutting Edge' column in the Irish Medical Times and he is editor of a Minor Surgery website, which is full of various cosmetic techniques and can be found at www.minorsurgery.net. His lecture series on the medical uses of Neurotoxin Injection Treatment can be found on this site.

The Ailesbury Clinic is innovate and fills a longtime void in the Irish market where patients until now would have had to go overseas for some of the forms of treatment provided. Like many other aspects of the new Ireland we have a situation where overseas patients are now coming to Dublin instead.

The clinic provides Neurotoxin Injection Treatment for fine lines, hyperhidrosis and flushing. It provides Isolagen fibroblast treatement, BioAlcamid, Restylane/Outline and New Fill prosthesis and fillers. It also provides Retin associated Microdermabrasion as well as TCA and Glycolic peels. The website for the Ailesbury Clinic can be found at www.ailesburyclinic.ie
