UltraShape is
a completely new treatment
removal of unwanted fat from the body. UltraShape
utilises well known technology such as ultrasound
and video tracking systems. It is the way the ultrasound
is designed and the video stream processed that makes
UltraShape unique and at the cutting edge of body
contouring technology.
HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
A transducer emits pulsating ultrasound
waves directed into the unwanted fat tissue. The dome
shape transducer combined with the pulses and frequency
allows the ultrasound to converge on a small focal point.
Within this focal point, the synergies of waves create
a mechanical effect that shakes the fat cells destroying
their cell membrane. As new fat cells aren't produced
in adulthood, fat cells that are destroyed will not reappear.
This ensures that the treatment results are permanent.
There is no evidence that the treatment is painful. There may however, be some
slight discomfort secondary to vibrations felt on bony
areas
WHAT AREAS MAY BE TREATED?
Stomach, Flanks (love-handles),
Back, Outer thighs, "Banana rolls" (fat
beneath the buttocks) are the areas that the Ailesbury
Clinic currently see as suitable treatment areas.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Fat from the destroyed cells are metabolised in the same way as the fat we eat. There have not been any documented side effects to date. The ultrasound emitted from the UltraShape is comparable to the ultrasound used in pregnancy but are generally more powerful and more focused.
WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW BEFORE UNDERGOING THE ULTRASHAPE TREATMENT?
Scientific studies have shown an
average loss in circumference of 2.5cm. These same
studies do indicate a small percentage of people
with little or no improvement. The reason for this
variation is not yet fully understood, but it may
be that the measuring capabilities available are
not developed enough to take into account all the
variables that may affect circumference.
Fat released during UltraShape treatment may take up to 14 days to be transported
away from the treated area. The transportation
rate may be increased by exercise. After treatment
most of the released fat is metabolised, however
some will also be stored again. Regular exercise
will ensure that as little as possible fat is restored
in other places of the body. The Ailesbury Clinic
recommends clients adhere to the following recommendations
to ensure best outcomes. Regular exercise of a
continuous nature for 45 minutes or more a day
particularly within 14 days of treatment. Reduce
fat intake for five days after the treatment. Sometimes we use Xenical tablets to help this. We have found better results with application of Velasmooth (RF, Infrared) 3 times after your session and Ailesbury Clinic has decided to provide these at no extra expense. .
May anyone undergo the treatment?
Treatment is precluded by pregnancy.
The following conditions will require medical review prior to initiation of therapy.
- Certain hereditary diseases
- Poisoning of pesticides or
similar substances
- Reduces renal or pancreatic
function (people with a history of high
alcohol consumption)
- Cardiac disease

* Recent research from many countries including the UK, Brazil and Spain tend to favour 3 treatments to give the best results. Because of this Ailesbury Clinic has decided to give 3 treatments for Euro 1750
What is right for you will clearly depend on your goals. Thus,at the time of your Consultation a thorough discussion of these and the options is essential to providing you with the highest standard of care.
